Okaaay, today is the big day! Off to France with my friend Salleee! I am sooo excited, I could go oui, oui!
But first, I will go visit my very dear friend Joan Reynolds at St. Joseph Hospital. Please say a prayer for her health. Her heart just isn't doing what it is suppose to do. And while you're praying, please be sure to add my 86 year old dancing friend, Maria Kiltz, who just had a stroke; is doing pretty darn good, but we all need prayers every now and then. ... ad of course for my 86 year old Dad, who is just plain getting old & the body takes its kicks.
But I digress, this is about living life to its fullest, which coincidently, is the gift that connects me to these beautiful, older friends which are in my life! When time allows, I will share the incredible energy & love of life which Joan and Maria possess!
So wow... first Paris for 3 days, where my friend Veronique will show us her city of lights, then TGV to spend 3 days with Catherine, a long time, long distance friend that I met when she was an au pair here 15 years ago! She now has a 5 year old son, Nicolas, that I can't wait to meet!
After she tours us around her area (Annecy, etc.), Salleee & I will TGV to Aix en Provence. Here we get a car to tour around Provence. We have just 2 days, so most likely, we'll wander Aix & celebrate Bastille Day with the Provence folks, and drive to St. Remy & wherever our car leads us.
The next stop is in Cassis, where Joelle, of Joelle's French Bistro in Skaneateles (you must go there), suggested we take a boat tour of Les Calangues, the cliffs. I hear it's gorgeous! Mid July is high season in the South of France, so taking info from the French, much to our dismay, no, we will not go to St. Tropez. ... unless, the traffic & crowds prove otherwise. Hyeres will be our home base in the Riviera! (check it out online)
I can't wait for this adventure & will do my best to keep this posted!
But in the meantime, peace, love & happiness.. and good will & good wellness to all!
Bon Voyage!
